Hello! I'm Felicity and I'm a motherhood photographer based in Fort Worth, Texas. Snuggle up, get cozy, grab a cup of coffee (or an iced chai tea latte in my case) and enjoy this showcase of my latest work. I'm excited to give you a little peek into my life and the moments and milestones I capture for my clients.
I met Shawna and Andrew just a few months ago at a Flamingo Friday get together. Our neighborhood does Flamingo Fridays when the weather isn’t too hot or too cold. Basically, one household volunteers to put a pair of pink flamingos on their lawn. That’s the signal for the rest of the neighborhood to stroll over on Friday evening. It’s BYOB and BYO chair and makes for a completely casual way to meet new neighbors and catch up with the ones you haven’t seen in a while. If your neighborhood isn’t doing it, you should definitely be the one to get it started. I can’t recommend Flamingo Fridays enough. Your neighbors will thank you. On the Friday I met Shawna and Andrew, baby Drew was still inside his momma’s baby bump. He wasn’t due for a few more weeks, but his parents couldn’t wait to meet him.
It doesn’t take more than a minute to realize Shawna and Andrew are an adventurous couple. Their work has taken them from Canada to Japan and now to Texas. In the short time they’ve been in Fort Worth, they built a beautiful home with a backyard that might as well be part of a spa resort. Andrew did most of the work himself, so he’s obviously a keeper. I don’t know how they had the energy to move across the world, build a life in Texas and become parents all in the span of a few months, but they’re doing it flawlessly. Speaking of adventures, their biggest adventure, baby Drew, made his appearance just a few months ago.
When I meet up with them for their Trinity Park family session, it became obvious that Shawna and Andrew are two of the most doting parents you’ll ever meet. They are completely in love with their little nugget. I just need to interject a disclaimer here: baby Drew is extra cute. If you scroll down to see his pictures, I can’t be held responsible when you catch a case of baby fever. You’ll also end up with a case of eyelash envy. I mean, seriously. This boy has the best lashes I’ve ever seen.
Shawna and Andrew are savoring this stage while Drew is still a tiny baby, but he’s changing on the daily. I remember Graham’s early days when it felt like Orion and I would constantly look at each other and say, “Did you see that? When did he learn to do that?” Shawna and Andrew are right there in that phase. Drew is starting to roll, scooch and sit up on his own. It won’t belong before he’s crawling and then life changes. But, it’s easy to see that these parents will take on all the changes coming their way with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts.
